So, this is what I was thinking…

by

smorg.jpgI realize that I have been a very naughty blogger. I have every intention of blogging something every single day, and then, BAM, blog-block. I now have a cure for blog-block, and I am going to share it with you. Planning. Simple, I know, but there it is. I have decided to plan what I am going to be blogging daily. Not the specific blogs, but I have come to the decision to have a specific theme for each day. If I happen to see something that strikes my interest that doesn’t really fit one of my themes, then hey, BONUS. Otherwise, you will see a post on at least five of these each week. OK, are you ready? To see my ingenious daily schedule of blogs? Really? OK, here they are…

Monday — McDonald Family Mondays…
How is my sudden love of the Food Network, and all it entails, affecting my family? How did they like the delicious recipes I prepared? What shows and hosts can my Little Dude not tear his eyes away from? Find it all out here first. Mondays will be the days I talk about me and mine. Hence this post today… Slightly personal, but still on topic, that’s me!!!!!

Tuesday — Tasty Temptations
What recipes did I see this week that just caught my eye? No full meals here guys, this is the place where you will find appetizing appetizers, delicious desserts, savory soups, and cool cocktails. Quick easy and tasty, that’s the recipe for Tuesday.

Wednesday — Why? Why?!? WHY!!??!!??
There are some things that just irritate me. Whether it be a strange claymation commercial or a particularly disgusting looking dish, this is where I will spill the beans about the minor (and major) frustrations of my favorite TV channel.

Thursday — That’s the Ticket
All things in balance, that’s what I say. So Thursdays will be the opposite of Wednesdays. On Thursdays we will look at the exceptional shows and programming brought forth on the Food Network. What tickled me this week, or just generally made me happy to watch? Find out here!!!

Friday — Thank Alton it’s Friday!!!
If you didn’t think I was going to have one day each week dedicated to the quirky, food geek that I love so much, well then you don’t read this blog nearly often enough. Here you will find all things Alton, from Good Eats, to Iron Chef America, Feasting on Asphalt, to personal appearances. After all, you can never have too much Brown…

Saturday — Likeable Lunches and Sumptuous Suppers
Just in time for your big Sunday dinners, here are the recipes that I have seen throughout the week, or browsed and found on the food network website, that will make for one amazing meal. Saturdays will include a recipe for a main course and at least one compatable side dish.

Sunday — Seasonal Shows
The Food Network does it’s best to celebrate all different parts of the year. And while the celebration is more pronounced during the fall and early winter months, nearly any time of year you can find something seasonal on the screen. Where do yule logs come from? Who first put a hot dog in a bun? And why oh why, do we eat chocolate eggs at Easter? Sundays we will explore and examine what we have learned throughout the week.

So that’s it. Now you know what you can look forward to each and every day. I hope you look forward to reading it, as much as I look forward to writing it. Please, comment with anything that you would like to see me write about… I will be sure to add it right in!!!
